Once we have affirmed the vision of success, we bring together the appropriate Affiliate Partners to join our collaboration to JMSH. Shelli has evolved over 30+ years to an Urbanist, Serial Entrepreneur + Community Catalyst. She has worn many hats including leadership roles in business, education, real estate placemaking, marketing/branding, planning, design, construction, and development. Shelli has served as a Partner, Owner-Developer’s Agent, Planning Commissioner, Community Planner, Construction Manager, Interior Architect and Programming Specialist. Her contributions have earned a respected reputation for problem-solving, creativity and ingenuity particularly under challenging conditions whether for built environments, organizations, initiatives, or boards. Her commitment to building a just, equitable, and sustainable society, bridging divides across demographics, and maintaining broad long-term relationships in business, design, education, and diverse cultural communities of all ages, makes us proud to have her on our team.

Tom traded in dreams of being second baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates, to dive headlong into the world of brand and marketing. He calls upon 25+ years of strategy and design work in political campaigns, issue advocacy, real estate marketing and corporate branding to lead the creative and marketing studio for Merrick Creative. We have enjoyed our friendship and collaboration for 30 years when we worked on the Gulfstream Aerospace business. Tarik launched Pure in 2011 to create a new, on-demand agency model better suited to the hyper-innovative, digitally driven environment marketers confront today. Not even the world’s biggest agencies can match what a world of talent can provide, so he created Pure to deliver just that. Before Pure, Tarik was Chief Digital Officer of Young & Rubicam where he set the global vision and strategy for the agency’s advance in the digital space while leading key client engagements and business development. Tarik started his career in public affairs at Burson-Marsteller in Washington, D.C. He then switched over to advertising. heading key global accounts for Young & Rubicam in New York City. Tarik also worked client-side as director of interactive marketing at Accenture. He returned to agencies as head of client services at McGarry Bowen and then managing director of Atmosphere BBDO, the North American digital arm of BBDO. He has worked with some of the world’s best-known brands like Target, FedEx, Cingular (now AT&T), Accenture, J&J, Starwood, MetLife, Citibank, Emirates Airline, Texaco, and LG. He has extensive aviation experience, having led the overall advertising business for Gulfstream Aerospace, the digital advertising for Emirates Airline, and working on-site in public affairs for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing - now Boeing (military and commercial) Tarik grew up in Maryland, went to Stanford and lives with his wife and family in New Orleans.
